Frequently asked questions
- Can I set a timer for hours, minutes, and seconds?
Yes. Use the hour, minute, and second fields for any duration. Preset links are available for common durations.
- Will it run if I close the tab? Why didn't it go off?
The countdown only runs while the page is open. Keep the tab active so it can ring when time is up. Closing the tab or device sleep stops it. Test before use and check volume; on mobile, keep the page in the foreground.
- Can I change the alarm sound or message?
Yes. Use the Label and Sound rows on the widget to add a message and choose a ringtone. Settings are saved when you start the timer.
- Can I pause or reset?
Yes. Pause holds the countdown, Resume continues. Reset clears and lets you set a new duration. Use the stop button when the alarm is ringing.
- Are my timer settings saved? Can I bookmark a timer?
Yes. Sound and message are saved per duration. Last-used timers appear in "Saved timers". Each timer page has its own URL—bookmark it and settings load with one click. For multiple timers, open different durations in separate tabs.
- Can I use this as a Pomodoro timer?
Yes. Set a work block or short break, start the countdown, and keep the tab visible. When it rings, take a break or start the next block. Last-used durations are saved.
